Women's Basketball
The Pronghorns dropped both games to the Trinity Western Spartans. On Friday, Lethbridge fell 87–66 despite a 14-point effort from fifth-year Kamryn Deklerk and 11 from Abby Stonehocker. Courtney McKee and Mhari Mattuli paced the Horns on the glass with seven rebounds each, while Trinity Western's Colette Van Der Hoven led all scorers with 27.
On Saturday, the Horns were edged 70–57. McKee led the offence with 17 points, and Piper Dobbelsteyn added 12. McKee also led the rebounding effort with nine boards. Van Der Hoven again led the Spartans, finishing with 16 points.
The women head into the new year with a record of 2-10.Â
Men's Basketball
The men opened the weekend with a strong 77–70 win on Friday. Kymani Pollard fueled the victory with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Lu Dalil contributed 15. Bryce Solis logged significant minutes, and TWU's David Mutabazi matched Pollard with 20 points.
Saturday's rematch saw the Horns fall 87–64. Solis led scoring with 20 points, followed by Pollard with 14. Pollard also grabbed eight rebounds, with first-year Cole Steele close behind at seven. Trinity Western's Jack Vandenburg led all scorers with 24.
The men finish with a record of 4-8 after this weekends games.Â
The Horns break for Christmas and return back to the Centre for Sport & Wellness on January 9th against the MacEwan Griffins.Â
