'Horns-Timberwolves end in 2-2 Tie

PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The Timberwolves came back in the second half to tie the visiting Lethbridge Pronghorns. Both teams pick up a point in the 2-2 final moving Lethbridge to 1-6-1, while the Timberwolves move to 0-7-3.
 
Sidney Roy netted both goals for the Timberwolves. The rookie forward showed her that speed is not to be taken lightly. Roy, who now totals five out of six UNBC goals, used her pace to out run Pronghorn defenders.
 
Lethbridge opened strong scoring in the 15th and 21st minute. A long ball from Danielle Lagemaat allowed Erin Greeves to turn and blast past the UNBC defense. Out in the open Greeves was able to slip one past UNBC keeper, Jordan Hall.
 
Another quick goal from Kim Shellenberg came only six minutes later. Shellenberg put the Pronghorns up 2-0 over the Timberwolves going into the second half.
 
The Timberwolves responded with two goals of their own. Roy, who used her speed in the 76th minute to score, repeated the process in minute 81. Forward Sydney Wilson chipped the ball to Roy who was able to tap it in after deaking around the Pronghorn's keeper.

The 'Horns outshot the Timberwolves 25 to 10, including 17 shots on next but could not get anymore passed UNBC goalkeeper Jordan Hall, who finished with 15 saves. Taylor Thomas started her first game of the season for the 'Horns and finished with six saves
 
Lethbridge will travel to Winnipeg next weekend to play the University of Manitoba on Friday and the University of Winnipeg on Saturday.
