Lethbridge – After a up-and-down home opening weekend, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women’s soccer team (1-3-0 CW) continues their five game home stand, hosting the Fraser Valley Cascades (2-1-0 CW) and the Victoria Vikes (2-0-1). Saturday’s kick-off is scheduled for 12:00pm, while Sunday’s game will start at 10:00am.

Last weekend the ‘Horns earned their first win of the season, shutting out the newest member of Canada West Mount Royal Cougars, 1-0 on the strength of Erin Greeves first career CIS goal. In the weekend finale the ‘Horns were shutout by the CIS seventh ranked Alberta Pandas.

Both of this week’s opponents only played one game last weekend, both traveled to Prince George and beat first-year Canada West school UNBC Timberwolves. The Cascades were victorious 7-0, while the Vikes handed the Timberwolves a 10-0 loss.

The Cascades opened the conference schedule with a 2-1 loss to the Pandas and a 3-0 win over Mount Royal Cougars and the Vikes beat the Cougars 5-0 and tied the Pandas 1-1 two weekends ago.

Please note the early start time Sunday, with the ‘Horns and Vikes kick-off set for 10:00am.

The five-game home stand will conclude next weekend with only one game, hosting the Calgary Dinos next Saturday.
