Lethbridge – The Lethbridge Pronghorn women’s soccer team (1-5-0 CW) will put a cap on a five-game home stand this weekend, hosting their Provincial rival Calgary Dinos (0-3-3 CW) for only one game Saturday afternoon.  Kick-off is scheduled for 12:00pm at the University of Lethbridge Community Stadium.

The ‘Horns are coming off back-to-back losses last weekend at the hands of the Fraser Valley Cascades and Victoria Vikes, but definitely deserved a better fate last Saturday versus the Casacades. After taking a 1-0 lead the ‘Horns gave up goals in quick succession, one on a penalty kick and another after keeper Taura Willoughby was involved in a collision.

While the ‘Horns have only scored twice through the first six games, fourth-year keeper Taura Willoughby sits second in the conference in saves with 56.

For the Dinos (0-3-3 CW), despite being winless through the first three weekends, they have earned points in three of their past four games. This past weekend the Dinos lost to the Vikes before tying the Cascades 2-2 last Sunday.

Similar to the ‘Horns, the Dinos have struggled with consistency and have scored five times in six outings and even though they have yet to taste victory, they do have a solid results tying the CIS seventh ranked Alberta Pandas.

The ‘Horns will only have two home games remaining after this Saturday, hosting the Regina Cougars and Saskatchewan Huskies, October 20th and 21 respectively.
