Lethbridge – Due to inclement weather in Lethbridge and concerns for player safety, this afternoon's Canada West men's soccer game between the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and Trinity Western University Spartans has been cancelled.

After consultation between athletic departments, facility operators and game officials the field was deemed unsafe for play. Environment Canada has issued a snow fall warning for the region with expectation of 10 to 20 centimetres to fall by Monday morning.

The game was to be the 2013 season finale for both the Pronghorns and Spartans but with no bearing on the Canada West standings and both teams having already been eliminated from post-season contention the game will not be rescheduled. The Pronghorns playoff hopes came to an end two weeks ago and will finish the season with a disappointing 2-11-1 record. For the Spartans, their post-season dreams were dashed yesterday afternoon after playing to a draw in Calgary versus the Dinos. The Spartans will finish fourth in the Pacific Division with a 4-6-3 record, four points back of the Fraser Valley Cascades.
