With the tie both teams earn their first points of the season and their records move to a matching 0-3-1.
Despite holding a territorial advantage in the opening scoreless half, the 'Horns could not complete any offensive sequences. Three offsides and an inability to find the net halted many good attacking rushes. The Horns attempted 14 shots to the Bisons 10 and had seven corners to the Bisons one.
'Horns starter Taylor Thomas made the first good save of the game, tipping Selina Speranza's shot over the bar in the 25
th minute.
The 'Horns looked dangerous in the 27

With the wind in the second half, the Bisons upped the offensive pressure but they were unable to solve half time substitute keeper Micaela Stone, who made six saves in her 'Horns debut. The Bisons held a distinct shot attempt advantage in the second half of 11-2.
While the 'Horns didn't generate much offensively in the second half, they were the first to threaten with another free kick just outside the box. This time it was from the five yard line but the dangerous looking cross was headed away by a Bison defender.
On a free kick of their own, Bison Gillian Sidon curled her shot from 38 yards just over the crossbar keeping the game scoreless.
A goalmouth scramble in the 76
th minute nearly led to the Bisons earning their first win of the season but Alyssa Robinson's chip sailed over Stone and over the bar.
Stone and Thomas combined for 12 saves to earn the teams' first clean sheet of the season, while Bison keeper Britanny MacSween was credited with three saves on the day.
The 'Horns will host the UNBC Timberwolves for one game next Saturday and the Bisons will host cross town rival Winnipeg Wesmen next weekend.
