Lethbridge – For the second season in a row, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team will conclude their pre-season preparation hosting the National Female Hockey Challenge.
Joining the 'Horns this year in the tournament are the Mount Royal University Cougars, University of Toronto Varsity Blues, Ryerson University Rams, Concordia University Stingers, and St. Thomas University Tommies.
For the 'Horns, they will open the tournament Friday at 8:00pm versus University of Toronto, before facing the Ryerson Rams at 8:00pm on Saturday. The tournament will conclude Sunday with the 'Horns playing the St. Thomas Tommies at 2:00pm. All games of the CIS portion of the tournament will be played at the Enmax Centre.
The Pronghorns will also host a 'Skate with the Pronghorns' Saturday afternoon at the Enmax Centre from 12:45 to 1:45. The Skate is open to the public and admission is free.
In addition to hosting the CIS portion of the tournament, the 'Horns are also hosting a 'AAA' Midget girls tournament with teams from across Alberta. All of the midget tournament games will be played on the Pronghorns home ice, Nicholas Sheran Arena and Henderson Arena.
