On Friday night the Dinos managed to find the back of the net three times in the first period, but Saturday night was a different story as both defences stood their ground in the early going. Calgary's two opportunities on the power play in the period came up empty which would cost them as Lethbridge found the back of the net with under four minutes to go.

Wrapping a shot around the left post and off a leg in front, Aislinn Kooistra registered her fifth goal of the year unassisted to make it 1-0. The Pronghorns had a couple more decent chances to score in the first period but were turned away by Tapp.

The middle frame was once again tight knit as neither team wanted to give the other an edge. The Dinos' best chance came on a deflection by Janelle Parent. Calgary's leading scorer got a piece of a shot from the left side but was denied on a great save by Crystal Patterson.

Lethbridge's strongest scoring chance during second period happened while shorthanded in the late stages of the stanza. Tapp was forced to make a diving stop on Sarah Spence who tried to tuck the puck in after a successful forecheck.

On the comeback trail, the Dinos took control of the game in the first half of the third frame. Calgary fired off 10 shots before the Pronghorns could get their first of the third. On their ninth shot, the home team would score. Coming off a hat trick a night earlier, Jenna Smith sniped a shot short side for her seventh of the year, unassisted at 7:06.

The Dinos continued to pepper Patterson, outshooting their opponent 18-4 in the third. Patterson and Tapp refused to allow another goal through regulation as the game went into overtime.

After a couple of good chances, the Dinos notched the overtime winner at 2:32 of the extra session. Moving out from behind the net, Peterson parked herself in front of the net where she tallied her third of the campaign to secure a weekend sweep.
