Lethbridge – Having been officially eliminated for post-season contention two weeks ago, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's soccer team (1-7-2) will look to play spoiler this weekend when they host the Manitoba Bisons (4-4-2).

The 'Horns and Bisons will square off Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 at the University Community Sports Stadium.

Coming off a bye last weekend, the 'Horns were swept by the Saskatchewan Huskies and those two losses officially ended any chances of the 'Horns qualifying for the Canada West playoffs.

The lowest scoring team in the Prairie Division, the Pronghorns have only scored five goals in 10 games this season and fourth-year midfielder Stephanie Groten leads the team with two goals.

For the Bisons, entering the final weekend of conference action, they find themselves on the outside looking into the playoff picture. Currently in sixth place, but only four points behind the Huskies for fourth place in the division and the final playoff spot.

To qualify for the playoffs, the Bisons will need to sweep the 'Horns and hope neither the Huskies nor fifth place Regina Cougars earn any points.
Last weekend, the Bisons took four points from the Calgary Dinos, tying the first place Dinos 1-1 before beating them the next day 3-2.

Bruna Mavignier has been an offensive force for the Bisons this season, scoring seven of her teams 15 goals. Her seven goals also tie her for second place on the conference's goal scoring list.
