Box Score
Calgary – The Cougar's playoff hopes took a serious hit this weekend after being swept by the Lethbridge Pronghorns. The Pronghorns completed the sweep Saturday night with a 1-0 win on the road at MRU Stadium Field. Stephen Primeau (51') scored the lone goal for Lethbridge to cement the victory.

The Cougars played very conservatively to start the match. The Pronghorns had little answer for the wall that was the Cougar's defence. Mount Royal was able to keep the match scoreless heading into the half.

Early in the second half Stephen Primeau scored his second goal of the weekend against the Cougars. In the 51st minute Primeau broke the deadlock on a feed from Kendell Wiens to put Lethbridge on top.

The Primeau goal would stand up as the lone goal of the match giving Lethbridge a 1-0 win.

The two losses this weekend put a real strain on the Cougar's playoff hopes. They are still mathematically alive but will need a lot of help to advance to the post season.

The Cougars will have little time to dwell on the loss with a quick turn around this week. Mount Royal will play a make up game on Tuesday night against the University of Calgary Dinos at 7pm at McMahon Stadium. They will then play their regularly scheduled contest versus the Dinos on Saturday afternoon.

Lethbridge will head north to Edmonton, next weekend where they will visit the 2nd place Alberta Golden Bears on Oct. 11 & 12.
