Lethbridge – Coming off their first six point weekend, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's soccer team (3-3-2) heads to Edmonton to face the Alberta Golden Bears (4-3-3) looking to secure a post-season berth.

Fans interested in viewing Alberta home games will have the choice between the $1.99 single-game access or the $6.99 full-season subscription.  All other Canada West games will be available for viewing without subscription. Proceeds from the pilot will be reinvested into CanadaWest.TV.

The 'Horns vastly improved their playoff chances while on the road last weekend, sweeping the Mount Royal Cougars, 4-1 and 1-0. With the six points the 'Horns moved into a tie for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Prairie Division with the MacEwan Griffins but the 'Horns hold two games in hand on the Griffins.

Through eight games, the 'Horns are even in goal differential stats, scoring 12 goals and allowing 12 goals against. The 'Horns 12 goals against is the second fewest in the Prairie Division.

Freshman striker Stephen Primeau continues his strong rookie season, scoring the game winning goal in both games last weekend and was named the Canada West third star for his performance. He also leads the 'Horns with four goals this season.

The Bears' season has hit a rough patch after being nationally ranked for three weeks; the team is now winless in its last four games. Last weekend, the Bears were swept handily by the CIS fifth ranked Saskatchewan Huskies, 4-1 and 6-1.

Offensively, the Bears are led by freshman Tolu Esan and fourth-year midfielder CJ Gilroy. Esan has scored five goals in only four games and Gilroy is tied with Esan but has played in all 10 Golden Bears conference games.

The 'Horns and Bears square off Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Foote Field - kick-off for both games is scheduled for 2:15pm. The games will also be webcast on http://canadawest.tv.  This season, University of Alberta and Canada West have partnered in a pilot project to gauge the viability of future subscription-based viewing purchases.

The 'Horns will return home for the final conference weekend of the season, hosting the Calgary Dinos, October 18th and 19th.
