Lethbridge – Coming off their third consecutive loss, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's soccer team will attempt to get back in the win column Sunday afternoon hosting the Calgary Dinos.
The 'Horns opened the fourth week of conference play Thursday night with a disappointing 3-1 loss to the visiting Mount Royal Cougars. With less than six minutes to play Thursday, the Cougars scored twice in under two minutes to pull away from the Pronghorns. The loss dropped the 'Horns to 1-4-0 on the season.
Chris Rushworth picked up his team leading second goal from the penalty spot Thursday.
The Dinos will open a two-game road swing Friday night in Saskatoon versus the defending Canada West Champions Saskatchewan Huskies.
Under new bench boss Brendan O'Connell, the Dinos have gotten off to a good start with their only loss in four games coming on the road versus the MacEwan Griffins.
So far the Dinos have been one of the stingiest in the conference, allowing only four goals in four contests, which is tied for the conference low with two other teams.
Dominic Russo leads the way offensively for the Dinos, scoring three of the Dinos seven goals this season.
The 'Horns will head out on the road next weekend, traveling to Saskatoon to face defending Canada West Champions Saskatchewan Huskies, before returning home the following weekend for their final home games of the season
