Box Score Edmonton - In what as a fast and wild game, the MacEwan University Griffins put together their most complete effort of the season as they played to a 4-4 draw versus the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns in Edmonton.

The tie moves the 'Horns record to 4-5-2 and ended their post-season aspirations after the Saskatchewan Huskies defeated the Priairie Division leading Alberta Golden Bears today, also in Edmonton.

Jake Schepian wasted little time getting the Griffins on the board, receiving a feed from Lahai Manasary through the middle for the early breakaway and goal in the 3
rd minute.

In the 17
th minute, Chris Rushworth scored on a free kick for the Pronghorns, striking a ball that danced in the air before dropping under the keeper untouched. Moments later, Rushworth would add his second of the match after the Griffins's Bennett Foster was called for the foul in the box. Rushworth would make no mistake, burying the ball in the middle top left of the net for the 2-1 lead.

Rushworth would continue his point tally feeding Riley Flint who netted his shot in the bottom left of the goal, after receiving the pass from his right side.

Rushworth's night would end however, as he was forced to leave the game with an injury.

The first half drama would continue as Nick Gomes' free kick found Jon Alberkant whose header found its way into net to tie the game for the Griffins.

The Griffins would play the remainder of the game with a man advantage after Domenic Rigaux was assessed a straight red card for violent conduct.

The scoring would continue moments later, when Jake Schepian broke free and charged on goal, forcing the Pronghorn keeper Nolan French to challenge and subsequently take a yellow card. Graem White would take the penalty kick for the Griffins and tie the game 3-3.

The second half, teams managed to settle down the pace. The Pronghorns Kendall Wiens would bury a clean strike off the feed from Cormac Southam in close to give his team the 4-3 lead.

The Griffins would respond before the end of the game, as Jared Day teamed up with Manasary in a goal line scramble to even the score at 4-4.
