‘Horns on the road versus defending Canada West Champions.

Lethbridge – With only three weeks remaining in the conference schedule, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's soccer team heads into an important stretch of the season but this weekend's matchup won't be an easy one, facing the defending Canada West Champion Saskatchewan Huskies on their home pitch.

The 'Horns and Huskies will hit the pitch both Saturday and Sunday at 2:15 in Saskatoon.

Last weekend, the 'Horns (2-4-0) potentially kept their playoff hopes alive with a 3-2 win over the Calgary Dinos on Sunday, following a 3-1 loss to Mount Royal College on Thursday. The win on Sunday moved the 'Horns within four points of the Dinos for the final playoff spot in the Prairie Division with six games to play.

Fourth-year midfielder Chris Rushworth was an offensive dynamo last week, scoring all four goals for the 'Horns, including a hat-trick in the 'Horns 3-2 win, earning him the Canada West Male First Star of the week honours.

Rushworth is tied for second in Canada West goal scoring this year with five tallies.

With a bullseye on their back this season, the Saskatchewan Huskies (3-3-2) have had an up and down season thus far and enter the weekend winless in their last three games. Last weekend at home, the Huskies tied the Dinos 3-3 and lost 4-2 to the Mount Royal.

Offensively, the Huskies have scored 17 times in eight games. Tyler Redl leads the way for the Huskies with four goals but Saskatchewan has a balanced attack with three other players scoring three times this season.

The 'Horns will return home next weekend for their final home games of 2015, hosting the Winnipeg Wesmen for a pair of games.
