Lethbridge – Heading into the final two weekends of conference action before the semester break, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team will look to put an end to a four-game losing streak visiting the Regina Cougars for a pair of games.

Puck drop in Regina is scheduled for 7:00pm Friday night and 3:00pm Saturday afternoon. Both contests will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv.

After starting the season on a high note, the 'Horns (5-5-2-0) have hit a rough patch, having lost four straight games and not scoring a goal in any of those four losses. Their goalless streak has reached over 269 minutes with their last goal coming during the second period of their 5-4 shootout win over the Calgary Dinos on October 24th.

Lauren Fredrich and Jocelyn Sabourin still lead the team offensively; Fredrich has four goals and four assists this season, while Sabourin has recorded two goals and five assists. Tricia Van Vaerenbergh is tied for the team lead in goals with Fredrich.

In the crease, the 'Horns have split duties the past two weekends between freshman Alicia Anderson and second-year Jessica Lohues. In two appearances this season, Lohues has a 1.52 goals-against average, while Anderson holds a 2.25 goals-against average in 10 starts.

The 2015-16 season has been an up-and-down affair so far for the Cougars (4-5-2-1). Of the six weekend series up to this point, the Cougars have split four, but they are the highest scoring team in the conference. The Cougars have scored a conference high 35 goals but have allowed the second most goals against with 34 in total.

Individually, the Cougars have three of the conference's five top scorers.  They are led by Jaycee Magwood, who sits second on the conference scoring list with 13 points and leads the conference in assists with 10. Kylie Gavelin is second on the Cougars with 12 points (5G, 7A) and Emma Waldenberger leads the league in goals with eight and is third on the Cougars in points with a total of 11.

Toni Ross has carried the bulk of the load in the Cougars' crease, making 10 appearances and holds a 2.06 goals-against average and a 0.931 save percentage.

The 'Horns will conclude the first semester of conference action next weekend hosting the Alberta Pandas.
