Lethbridge – The Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team returns to home ice this weekend to host the 3-1 Saskatchewan Huskies, looking to build off a four-point weekend last week.

The 'Horns and Huskies will hit the ice at 7:00pm both Friday and Saturday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena. Both games will also be webcast on www.canadawest.tv.

Last weekend on the road, the 'Horns (1-2-1) rebounded from a tough opening weekend, to take four of six points from the Regina Cougars.

The 'Horns were led by the exceptional play of second-year goaltender, who was named the Canada West female first star of the week and the CIS female athlete of the week. Over the two games, Anderson made 117 saves, including setting a new Canada West single season record for saves in a game with 64 Saturday night.

Sarah Spence leads the 'Horns with two goals and an assist, while Chelsea Kasprick returned from injury last weekend and registered a goal and an assist.

After splitting the opening weekend with the defending Canada West Champion UBC Thunderbirds in Vancouver, the Huskies moved their early season record to 3-1, sweeping the Alberta Pandas with a pair of 2-1 wins.

Kaitlin Willoughby and Leah Bohlekn lead the Huskies offensively through the first four games with two goals and an assist each.

Goalie Cassidy Hendricks has started all four games this season for the Huskies and sports a 2.09 goals-against-average and a 0.916 save percentage.

The 'Horns will face the Calgary Dinos next weekend in a home-and-home series, starting Friday night in Calgary.

NOTES: This weekend is the women's hockey alumni weekend. The Nicholas Sheran Community room has been booked for both games for an Alumni and Parents social during the games and ice has been booked at the new ATB Centre on the west side for an Alumni game Saturday at 2:00pm
