Box Score
LANGLEY, British Columbia – Heading into the final weekend of the season, the Lethbridge Pronghorns were in dire need of points to keep their hopes of playoff berth alive, but couldn't dent the Pacific Division leading and undefeated Trinity Western's defense and were shut out 2-0.

The 'Horns remain only one point out of a playoff spot but will now need to pick up points on Saturday versus the Fraser Valley Cascades and get help from other teams if they are to qualify for the 2016 post season.

Trinity Western's Isabella Di Trocchio (Burnaby, B.C.) scored her sixth game-winning goal of the season..

Di Trocchio tallied her eighth goal overall of the campaign in the 35th minute to put TWU ahead and that was all the Spartans would need as they improved to 11-0-2 on the season. Danae Derksen (Delta, B.C.) added an insurance marker in the 58th minute, while TWU's Seina Kashima (Burnaby, B.C.) assisted on both goals.

The Spartans, who had already clinched first place in the Pacific Division coming into the game, are now unbeaten in 26 straight regular season games.

TWU will finish its regular season schedule Saturday when they host Calgary in a battle of the top two teams in Canada West. Game time is 5 p.m. at Chase Office Field.

Di Trocchio opened the scoring midway through the first half when she buried her opportunity off a feed from Kashima. A clearing attempt by Pronghorns goalie Rachel Lee hit Kashima, who took advantage of the turnover, tapping it over to Di Trocchio.

Lee, who finished the game with six saves, had to be sharp in the first half just to keep the game close as she made highlight-reel saves on both Rachel Hutchinson (Cloverdale, B.C.) and Kashima.

The Spartans, who had a 28-7 edge in shots, put the game away early in the first half with Derksen's fourth goal of the season. Derksen took a cross from Kashima and knocked it past Lee.

TWU's Ally Williamson (Langley, B.C.) made two saves to pick up her ninth clean sheet of the season.

The Pronghorns (3-8-2) finish their regular season Saturday when they play Fraser Valley at 5:30 p.m. (PT).

Game Notes: The Spartans had a 16-0 advantage in corner kicks…TWU didn't allow a shot on net in the second half
