Box Score
Lethbridge – For the second straight game the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team struggled to generate enough offense and were swept by the Alberta Pandas, falling 4-1 in game two of the weekend set.

The loss drops the 'Horns to 2-9-1-2 and remain four points behind the Mount Royal Cougars for sixth place in Canada West. With the win the Pandas move two games above 500 at 5-3-3-3.

Fifth-year forward Sarah Spence scored the lone Pronghorn goal and Alicia Anderson stopped 35 of 39 shots she faced in the loss. Autumn MacDougall scored twice to lead the Pandas, while Amy Boucher and Alex Poznikoff each picked up singles. Lindsay Post earned the win in the Pandas crease with a 14 save performance.

In an eerily similar start to the game on Friday night, the Pandas opened the scoring inside of seven minutes. Fresh out of the penalty box, Boucher was sprung on a two-on-one with Poznikoff, who feathered a perfect pass to her tape before the third-year scorer beat Alicia Anderson. Boucher now sits atop Canada West with nine goals in 14 games.

And just like last night, Alberta took over the game in the second period, outshooting Lethbridge 15-1 with a pair of goals from MacDougall. Her first was on the power play, as the sophomore sniper took advantage of a deflected shot, sliding the loose puck through Anderson's five hole. Her second came just five minutes later, has she revived a great pass from Poznikoff in the corner, blowing a wrist shot past Anderson from her unmarked position in the slot.

Spence scored the lone goal for Lethbridge all weekend very early in the third, seemingly giving the visitors life with a great one-on-one move past Abby Benning before shelfing her shot past Post. Poznikoff, however, sealed the game 70 seconds later, hammering a one-timer past Anderson.

The 'Horns will return home next weekend for their final home games of the opening semester, hosting the Regina Cougars for a pair of games, starting Friday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena.
