Lethbridge  - Playing the Thompson Rivers WolfPack for the very first time, the Lethbridge Pronghorns tied the score in the second half but allowed a goal in the final the 10 minutes of play to fall 2-1 to the WolfPack in the first of a two game road trip.

The loss drops the 'Horns to 2-4-1 on the season, while the WolfPack improve to 3-4-0.

Chris Rushworth picked up his second of the season for the Pronghorns and Ryan Glanville and Yuya Nakano scored for the WolfPack.

"I thought we started a little slow but we got better as the game went on," said head coach Randy Bardock. "Our lack of finishing hurt us in the first half."

"I would like to see the missed PK in the second half and I will definitely watch the replay of the second goal."

The WolfPack opened the scoring in the 44th minute, Glanville took a high lead pass from Keenan Wallace and fired a left footer past Lethbridge keeper Nolan French.

Nearing the midpoint of the second half, the 'Horns would finally breakthrough, Rushworth capitalized on a WolfPack miscue getting the pass from Kyle Angerilli and beat an already down TRU keeper Claye Harsany.

The winning goal came with just less than 10 minutes remaining. French made the initial save off of Mitch Popadynetz, but the ball squirts out to Nakano who puts in the rebound for his first Canada West goal.

"We got stronger as the game went on and that is a strong sign," said Bardock on positives to take away from today's game. "We will build on it for tomorrow."

Shot attempts finished even at 12 apiece but the 'Horns had five shots on goal compared to three WolfPack shots on goal. However, the WolfPack held a 8-4 advantage on corner kicks and committed nine fouls to the 'Horns 11.

The 'Horns will travel down Highway 97 to face the UBCO Heat in Kelowna on Sunday.
