Lethbridge – For the second time in three weeks, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team will compete in a home-and-home series versus a southern Alberta rival; this time the 'Horns face the Mount Royal Cougars.
The weekend set kicks off in Calgary at the Flames Community Arena Friday night at 7:00pm. The Pronghorns will host the Cougars the next night at Nicholas Sheran Arena, also at 7:00pm. Both games will be streamed live on

The Pronghorns and Cougars faced-off once during the preseason with the Cougars prevailing 2-1 in overtime. Last season, the Cougars swept the season series with one game going to overtime.
A look at both teams:
For the second week in a row, the Pronghorns (2-2-0-0) used overtime to earn a Friday night victory before dropping the second game Saturday. The 'Horns beat the Saskatchewan Huskies 2-1 Friday night before dropping a 3-1 decision Saturday.
Through two weekends of conference action, the Pronghorns have allowed the fewest goals against with five but have also scored the fewest goals with four. The Pronghorns have not allowed a power play goal against thus far in 11 times shorthanded. However, they have also not scored a power play goal in 11 chances.
In their last action, Mount Royal (1-3-0-0) lost both games to the Regina Cougars in Regina, dropping games 4-2 and 3-2, but earned an impressive win the week before beating the defending U SPORTS Champion Alberta Pandas in Calgary.
The Cougars have scored one more goal for than the Pronghorns (5) but have allowed the second most in Canada West with 12 against. Only Manitoba has allowed more goals against. The Cougars have also failed to score a power play goal so for this season, going 0 for 12. MRU has the second best penalty killing numbers behind the Pronghorns, killing off 11 of 12 opponents' opportunities.
Players to watch:
Third-year goaltender Alicia Anderson has played all four games this season and sits among the league leaders in all goaltending categories. She sits first in save percentage (0.963), saves (136) and is third in goals-against average (1.30).
Mackenzie Gal leads the Pronghorns in scoring with a goal and an assist in four games. Freshman Alli Borrow scored her first career goal last Friday night and it was the overtime winner.
For the Cougars, Zoe Beauville has also started in goal for all four games this season and holds a 2.85 goals-against average and a 0.885 save percentage.
Tatum Amy leads the Cougars in scoring with a goal and two assists in four games.
