Lethbridge – Heading into the back half of the season, the Lethbridge Pronghorns will be seeking a return to the win column, hosting a pair of schools from the Pacific Division in the Fraser Valley Cascades and UNBC Timberwolves.

The Pronghorns will face the Cascades Saturday and the Timberwolves Sunday, both games are slated for a 2:15 kick-off. Both games will also be webcast on www.canadawest.tv.

After dropping both games last weekend, the Pronghorns (1-5-2) are in need of victories on their home turf with only six games remaining in their 2017 conference schedule. Currently the Pronghorns sit one win back of the final playoff spot in the Prairie Division but both the Mount Royal Cougars and Calgary Dinos hold two games in hand on the Pronghorns.

Offensively, the trio of Stephen Primeau, Dom Point du Jour and Ellis Davies have done the bulk of the damage for the Pronghorns. Primeau leads the Pronghorns in points with four (1g, 3a), while Point du Jour and Davies lead the team in goals with two each.

Entering this week, the Fraser Valley Cascades (1-4-1) are riding a three game losing streak and last weekend dropped games to the top ranked Alberta Golden Bears (1-0) and Calgary Dinos (2-0).

Through six games the Cascades have scored six goals to go against 10 goals they have surrendered. All six of the Cascades goals have been scored by different players. The Cascades lone win this season has come against the UBCO Heat at home.

The Pronghorns and Cascades haven't faced each other since the 2013 season, where the Cascades upended the Pronghorns 4-1 in Abbotsford.

Also entering the weekend on a three game losing streak, the UNBC Timberwolves (2-3-3) suffered losses last weekend to the Mount Royal Cougars (1-0) and Golden Bears (3-1) but have solid wins over the Thompson Rivers WolfPack and Victoria Vikes this season

For the Timberwolves, Tofa Fakunle, Brett Bobier and Stuart Rowlands lead the way with two goals each, while Fakunle also has three assists to lead the team in points with five.

Sunday's match-up is only the third game ever between the Pronghorns and Timberwolves with each team winning on the other home field. The Pronghorns beat the Timberwolves in Prince George, 1-0 on September 30, 2012. The Timberwolves returned the favor the next season, beating the Pronghorn 2-1.

The Pronghorns will play their final home games of the 2017 conference schedule next weekend, hosting the Alberta Golden Bears Friday and the MacEwan Griffins Sunday.
