LETHBRIDGE – Having been officially eliminated from the Canada West playoff picture last weekend, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team closes the 2017-18 season this weekend, looking to play spoiler in Regina facing the Regina Cougars.

With only two games to play, the Cougars hold a two point lead over the Calgary Dinos for the final playoff spot in Canada West. The Dinos travel to Winnipeg to face conference leading Manitoba Bisons.
A Look at the Teams:
Entering the final weekend of the season, the Pronghorns (3-17-2-4) have lost 12 games in a row but earned points versus the top teams in Canada West, losing in a shootout to the UBC Thunderbirds and in overtime last Saturday to the Manitoba Bisons.
Ironically, the Pronghorns last win came versus the Regina Cougars in Lethbridge on November 25
th. The Pronghorns beat the Cougars 3-2 following a 1-0 win the Cougars the night before.
The Pronghorns have scored the second fewest goals in Canada West, scoring only 27 goals in 26 games and have allowed 49 goals against.
Regina (7-14-1-4) have had a tough second half of the season, going 1-9 since the semester break, which included nine game losing streak.
The Cougars have allowed the most goals against in the conference, allowing 59 in 26 games, but have scored 37 goals for.
Key Players:
Alli Borrow, Tricia Van Vaerenbergh and Katelyn Breitkreuz are tied for the team's scoring lead with eight points. Borrow, Van Vaerenbergh, along with Kyra Greig are tied for the goal scoring lead with five goals each.
Breitkreuz leads the Pronghorns with seven assists.
For the Cougars, Emma Waldenberger leads the Cougars with seven goals and six assists, which places her in a tie for 11
th on the Canada West scoring list.
Jaycee Magwood sits second on the Cougars with six goals and five assists.
Jane Kish and Morgan Baker have split goaltending duties this season but Kish has the better numbers with a 1.75 goals-against average and a 0.933 save percentage.
