LETHBRIDGE – Following a weekend split to open the 2019 portion of the Canada West schedule, the Lethbridge Pronghorns have their sights set on moving forward taking on the southern Alberta rival Calgary Dinos in a home-and-home series.
The Pronghorns will host the Dinos Friday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena, puck drop is slated for 7:00 p.m. The next night, the Pronghorns will take on the Dinos in Calgary at Father David Bauer at 6:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on

A look at the teams
With a split in Regina last weekend, the Pronghorns (5-11-0-2) sit seven points out of a playoff spot with 10 games to play. The Pronghorns trail the Mount Royal Cougars and will face the Cougars during the final weekend of the regular season.
Entering the back half of the season, the Pronghorns sit seventh in goals for with 20 and rank sixth in goals against with 40.
Penalty killing has been a strength for the Pronghorns this season, sitting in a tie for second, killing off more than 89% of their opponent's power plays. The Pronghorns power play sits sixth in Canada West.
Entering the second weekend of 2019 action the Dinos (2-14-0-2) are stalled in a five game losing streak and were swept last weekend in Saskatoon versus the Saskatchewan Huskies.
Offensively, the Dinos have struggled this season, scoring a conference low 18 goals, while allowing a Canada West high 48 against. The Dinos also rank last in both speciality team categories. The Dino power play is only operating at 7.8%, while the penalty kill sits at 72.2%
During the first semester, the Pronghorns swept the Dinos with a pair of shutout wins, 4-0 in Calgary and 1-0 in Lethbridge.
Players to watch
Fourth-year goaltender Alicia Anderson made 27 saves last weekend to earn her fifth shutout of the season, which is tied for the Canada West lead. She also leads the conference in total saves with 494.
Second-year forward Kyra Greig scored two of the Pronghorns three goals last week to start 2019 off with a bang. She sits in a tie for fourth in Pronghorn scoring with three goals and two assists.
Ali Borrow also had a strong start the second half of the season with a goal and an assist last weekend and is now tied for the team lead in points with seven.
In the Dinos, crease, Kelsey Roberts has made 15 appearances this season and sits with a 2.12 goals-against average and a 0.943 save percentage. She has faced the second most shots in Canada West behind Anderson.
Offensively, first-year forward Elizabeth Lange leads the Dinos with four goals and is tied for the team lead in points with six in only 11 games. Defender Laine Grace also has six points this season but has played all 18 games.
