LETHBRIDGE – With two weekends remaining in the Canada West schedule, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's soccer team is in the middle of a fight for the final playoff spot and will play three of  the final four games on the road to close out the season.

The Pronghorns will face the Mount Royal Cougars this weekend in a home-and-home series starting in Calgary Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm. The Pronghorns will host the back half of the weekend set Sunday afternoon, kick-off is slated for 12:00 pm. Both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv.

A look at the teams

Entering the home stretch of the season, the Pronghorns (0-4-5) are in control of their own destiny. Currently the Pronghorns hold down the final playoff spot, sitting two points ahead of the Winnipeg Wesmen and three points ahead of Mount Royal.

The Pronghorns will face the Wesmen in Winnipeg next Friday night.

With back-to-back ties last weekend, the Pronghorns enter the weekend collecting points in three consecutive games and all three games have ended by the same score, 1-1.

Colette Mofakham scored both goals last weekend for the Pronghorns and moved into a tie with Jesse Dueck for the team lead in goals with two each.

Coming off consecutive losses, Mount Royal Cougars (0-7-2) have solid opportunity to move into the playoff picture this weekend. Thus far, the Cougars Achilles heel has been an inability to find the back of the net. The Cougars were shutout six consecutive games to start the season and have scored the second fewest goals in the conference with three.  The Cougars have also allowed 15 goals against in nine games.

Three different players have scored for the Cougars and Kaitlyn Clarke leads the team with seven shots on goal.
