A look at the teams

Through the first three weeks of the regular season, the Pronghorns (4-1-0-1) sit atop the Canada West standings with 13 points, two points ahead of this week's opponent and the Calgary Dinos.

Picking up four points last weekend with a shootout loss and regulation win over the Saskatchewan Huskies, the Pronghorns have earned points in five of six games.

The Pronghorns have scored the second most goals in the conference with 17, but are ranked fifth in goals against, allowing 11 goals against.

Kyra Greig and Alli Borrow have been the Pronghorns offensive leaders through six games. Greig have three goals and two assists, while Borrow sits with five helpers.

Alberta (3-2-1-0) enters the weekend set on consecutive weekend splits, including a 1-0 regulation loss last Friday to the Mount Royal Cougars. The Pandas blanked the Cougars 2-0 the next night in Edmonton.

Sitting ranked number one in both goals for (20) and goals against (6), the Pandas are a force at both ends of the rink and have a lethal power play this season. Scoring on over 42% of their opportunities this season, more than half of the Pandas goals this season have come on the power play.

Four Pandas sit atop the Canada West scoring list and Autumn MacDougall and Madison Willan lead all Canada West scorers with four goals and five assists each. Reigning Canada West player of the year Alex Poznikoff sits only one point back with four goals and four assists.
