LETHBRIDGE – Looking to rebound following a weekend where the team didn't earn any points for the first time this season, the Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team draws another tough match up in a home-and-home series with provincial rival Calgary Dinos.

The weekend set will open in Calgary Friday night at Father David Bauer Arena, puck drops at 7:00 pm. The Pronghorns will host the back half of the home-and-home series Saturday night at Nicholas Sheran Arena, also at 7:00 pm. Catch all the action on www.canadawest.tv, presented by Co-op.

A look at the teams:

Suffering a season first weekend sweep at the hands of the now first place UBC Thunderbirds, the Pronghorns (6-5-0-1) sit tied for third place with the Saskatchewan Huskies at 19 points with four games left before semester break. The T-Birds lead the conference with 25 points, but only nine points separate third and eighth place.

Statistically, the Pronghorns rank third in goal scoring with 24 goals for and now sit tied for seventh in goals against, allowing 27 against in 12 games.

Kyra Greig and Alli Borrow continue to lead the Pronghorns in scoring with eight points. Greig has four goals and four assists, while Borrow leads the team with eight assists.

Fifth-year goaltender Alicia Anderson, who became the conference all-time saves leader earlier this season, has started 10 of 12 games this season and sits with a 2.01 goals-against average and a 0.938 save percentage.

The Dinos (7-4-1-0) enter the weekend on a four game winning streak, after sweeping crosstown rival Mount Royal Cougars last weekend. The Dinos also swept the Alberta Pandas two weeks ago.

Playing in low scoring games throughout the opening 12 games, the Dinos sit with 22 goals scored (4th) and 18 goals against (T3).

Netminder Kelsey Roberts has started all 12 games this season, leading the conference in minutes played (722:07), saves (306) and sits with a 1.33 goals-against average to go along with a 0.950 save percentage.

Offensively, the Dinos are led by Elizabeth Lang and Sara Craven. Lang has contributed with five goals and four assist, while Craven sits one point back with three goals and five assists.
