LETHBRIDGE – Following a loss and a tie to open the Canada West season at home, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's soccer team heads out on the road for the first time this season, traveling to Calgary to face provincial opponents for the second week in a row.

Saturday night, the Pronghorn square off against the Calgary Dinos on University of Calgary campus, kick-off is slated for 6:00pm. On Sunday the Pronghorns head down Crowchild Trail to face the Mount Royal Cougars at 4:00pm. Catch all the action live on www.canadawest.tv, presented by CO-OP.

The Pronghorns opened the season last weekend with a tight 2-1 loss to the top team in the Prairie Division a season ago in the Alberta Golden Bears, but rebounded on Sunday with a 2-2 draw with the MacEwan Griffins.

During the Griffins game, the Pronghorns found themselves down 2-0 late in the match but scored twice in a span of only minutes to claw back to earn a single point.

Freshman Tyler Quinn scored the Pronghorn lone goal on Friday in his first Canada West game, while sophomores Danilo Morales and Ben Kutas scored in Sunday's game.

The Dinos and Cougars opened the season as well last weekend, facing each other in only one game, with Mount Royal prevailing 5-0 at home. The Cougars scored five unanswered goals in the second half to kick off the season with three full points.

Five different goals scorers paced the Cougars to victory.

During the 2018 Canada West season, the Calgary Dinos swept the two game season series with the Pronghorns, wining 2-1 in Lethbridge and 3-0 on their home field, while Cougars also swept the Pronghorns a year ago by the exact same scores.

Up Next: The Pronghorns return home next weekend for one game, hosting the Saskatchewan Huskies Saturday afternoon at the University Community Stadium.
