LETHBRIDGE – The Lethbridge Pronghorn women's hockey team hits the road looking to rebound from a tough opening 2020, traveling to Saskatoon to face the Saskatchewan Huskies.

The Pronghorns and Huskies will clash Friday and Saturday night at 7:00pm CT at Merlis Belsher Place. Both games will also be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv, presented by Co-op.

A look at the teams:

With 10 games to play, every point will be valuable as only nine points separates third and seventh place. Even with only one picked up point last weekend, the Pronghorns (6-8-1-3) still sit in the final playoff spot and control their own destiny. The Pronghorns are currently three points ahead of Regina and only six point behind this weekend's opponent for third.

Statistically, the Pronghorns are ranked third in goals for with 34 but are eighth in goals against, allowing 46 against. With two power play goals last weekend, the Pronghorns improved to sixth in Canada West, operating at 8.7%.

Third-year forward Kyra Greig leads the Pronghorns in scoring with five goals and eight assists, while Alli Borrow sits in second with 11 points.

In the crease, Alicia Anderson has played in 16 of 18 games and holds a 2.27 goals-against average and a 0.929 save percentage.

The Huskies (8-6-1-3) are also coming off two losses last weekend after losing back-to-back games to the Alberta Pandas, dropping 2-1 and 3-2 decisions.

Saskatchewan sits in the middle of the pack in goals for and against this season, scoring 31 times, while only allowing 29 against in 18 games.

Bailie Boruassa leads the Huskies in scoring with eight goals and six assists for 14 points, while Shyan Elisa sits second with eight goals and three assists.

Jessica Vance has seen the bulk of the action in the Huskies crease this season, playing in 12 games and holds an impressive 1.41 goals-against average and a 0.936 save percentage.
