Final home stand for Pronghorns versus MRU

LETHBRIDGE – The Pronghorn women's soccer team will wrap up the 2021 Canada West regular season this weekend, hosting the Mount Royal Cougars for a pair of games at the University Community Stadium.
 
The Pronghorns and Cougars will hit the pitch Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 PM. Proof of vaccination or a negative rapid test with government issued ID is required to attend Pronghorn home games.
 
Both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv, presented by Co-op.
 
Sunday's game will also mark the final game for a trio of Pronghorns, with Erin Gill, Collette Mofakham and Elli Kabayama suiting up in blue and gold for the final time.
 
A look at the teams
 
Entering the final weekend of the season, the Pronghorns (1-9-0) have lost three games in a row, including being swept last weekend in Edmonton by the division leading MacEwan Griffins, but will look to play spoiler this weekend.
 
During the opening weekend of the season, the Mount Royal Cougars beat the Pronghorns in Calgary, 3-1.
 
Lucy Mundy and Kaleigh Harris lead the Pronghorns in scoring with two goals and two assists this season. Anneke De Klerk also have scored two goals this season.
 
The Cougars (3-6-1) come to Lethbridge fighting for their playoff lives. Currently four points behind the Manitoba Bisons for the final quarterfinal spot and will need a pair of wins and some help to leapfrog the Bisons.
 
Having score 10 goals as a team thus far, Sydney Danielewicz has been the offensive catalyst for the Cougars this season, scoring six times
