A look at the teams
The Pronghorns (0-5-0) will look to change their fortunes this weekend and have performed well on home field this season, losing two close games, 1-0 to the Mount Royal Cougars and 2-1 this past Saturday versus the Calgary Dinos.
On Sunday, the Dinos completed the weekend sweep with a 4-0 win.
With only one goal for through five games, the Pronghorns will need to find a spark offensively if they are to break out of the season opening slump. First-year midfielder Karim Bey scored his first career U SPORTS goal last Saturday.
Through two weekends of the conference schedule, the Golden Bears (2-0-2) have taken four points in each of the two weekends. The Bears opened the season with a tie and win over the MacEwan Griffins and Beat Mount Royal 1-0 last Saturday and then played to a scoreless draw the next day.
Golden Bear striker Ajeej Sarkaria leads the Bears with four goals this season and during the opening weekend he etched his name in the Canada West record book, setting a new conference mark for goals in a career with 40.
