A week ago, the Pronghorns (0-2-0) returned to Canada West action for the first time this year and dropped a pair of contests on the road. In Calgary on Saturday, the Pronghorns fell 3-1 to the Mount Royal Cougars and then were blanked 2-0 by the Alberta Pandas on Sunday.
Lucy Mundy scored the lone Pronghorn goal on the weekend and led the team with seven shot attempts in the two games.
Newcomer Bridie Harding was in the net for both games and made 14 saves.
The MacEwan Griffins (1-1-0) opened the Canada Wes season two weeks ago with a 2-0 win over the Alberta Pandas but in their only game last weekend, the Griffins were beaten 3-0 by the Calgary Dinos.
Grace Mwasalla and Raeghan McCarthy each scored a goal in the Griffins win over the Pandas.
During the 2019-20 Canada West season, the Pronghorns and Griffins tied both of the match-ups, 1-1 in Lethbridge and 0-0 in Edmonton.
The reigning Canada West Champion Calgary Dinos (3-0) have stormed out of the gate and have outscored their opponents 8-1 in the three wins thus far. Montana Leonard has lead the Dinos attack, accounting for half of her team's goals with 4 on three games.
The last time the Pronghorns and Dinos met, the Dinos came away with a 5-0 decision during the 2019-20 season.
