Pronghorns take on Dinos in home-and-home weekend

LETHBRIDGE – Heading into the third week of the Canada West season, the Lethbridge Pronghorn men's soccer team will look to hit the win column this weekend, in a home-and-home series with the Calgary Dinos.
 
The first game of the weekend set is scheduled for 2:15 pm on Saturday at the University Community Stadium. Proof of vaccination or a negative rapid test with government issued ID is required to attend Pronghorn home games.
 
Game two goes in Calgary Sunday at 2:15 pm, both games will be streamed live on www.canadawest.tv, presented by Co-op.
 
The Dinos have won the last six meetings between the two teams.
 
A look at the teams
 
On the road last weekend, the Pronghorns (0-3-0) were swept by the Saskatchewan Huskies and will need to break through offensively to earn the team's first points of the season.
 
Through three games, the Pronghorns have allowed eight goals against and are still looking for their first goal of the season.
 
Midfield Alasdair Coyle leads the Pronghorns with six shots attempts this season.
 
After having a bye during the first weekend of the Canada West season, the Calgary Dinos (0-0-2) hosted crosstown rival Mount Royal Cougars last weekend and settled for a pair of ties. The Dinos and Cougars played to a 2-2 tie in the opening game and then a scoreless tie to conclude the weekend.
 
Derek Brust and Adam Huskic scored Dinos goals in the season opening game.
 
Up Next
 
The Pronghorns will remain at home next weekend, hosting the Alberta Golden Bears at the University Community Stadium Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
