A look at the teams
Having lost three games in a row, the Pronghorns (1-9-1) are still mathematically alive in the post-season chase but the margin for error is zero. The Pronghorns will have to run the table over the final three games and one of Calgary or MacEwan have to lose their final three games for the Pronghorns to have a chance.
Earlier this season, the Pronghorns did pick up a win over the Calgary Dinos, 2-1 in Calgary. Sunday's test will be a bit stiffer with the Mount Royal Cougars ranked among the top teams in the country and handed the Pronghorns a 5-0 loss in Calgary in September.
Danilo Morales leads the Pronghorns in scoring this season with three goals and an assist, while Karim Bey and Alasdair Coyle have both chipped in with a goal and two assists.
The Dinos (3-4-3) are fighting for a post-season position and have four games remaining, two on the road and two at home. Over their last five games the Dinos have gone 2-2-1 which includes a 1-0 loss to the Mount Royal Cougars in their last action.
Offensively, Amanuel Petros leads the Dinos with three goals and three assists; four other Dinos have registered two goals on the season.
The Cougars (8-0-2) are the lone undefeated team in Canada West this season and have virtually locked up top spot in the Prairie Division and are in the drivers' seat to host the Canada West Final Four.
Through 12 games the Cougars have allowed a conference low five goals against, while scoring 21 goals for.
Mohamed El Gandour leads the Cougars with eight goals this season and is tied for second in Canada West goal scoring.
