A look at the teams
After picking up their first win of the season two weeks ago, the Pronghorn (1-6-0) couldn't keep the momentum going at home last weekend, dropping games to the Trinity Western Spartans and UNBC Timberwolves.
Danilo Morales and Kai Sakaguchi lead the Pronghorns in goals with two goals each, while Alasdair Coyle has registered a goal and two assists in six games this year.
The Vikes (2-4-2) were in northern Alberta last weekend, earning a 1-1 tie versus the MacEwan Griffins before being shutout 2-0 by the Alberta Golden Bears on Sunday.
In eight games this season, the Vikes have scored eight goals, while allowing 15, which included seven goals in two games versus UNBC.
Javier Sagaste leads the Vikes with three goals and two assists this season, while Nick Park sits second on the Vikes with two goals.
The UBCO Heat (1-3-1) picked up their first win last weekend with a 2-0 win over the MacEwan Griffins in their lone game of the week. The win snapped a three game losing streak after opening the 2022 season with a 1-1 tie with Victoria.
Through five games, the Heat have scored five goals for and are led by Malachi Emerson, who has accounted for two of five goals.
