This weekend marks the Pronghorns first trip to Saskatchewan since the 2017 season.

A look at the teams

Moving past the mid-point of the season, the Pronghorns (0-6-2) will look to put an end to a two game losing streak this week. Coming off a tie last Tuesday night versus the Fraser Valley Cascades, the Pronghorns dropping games to the MacEwan Griffins and Alberta Pandas last weekend.

Hailey Slobodian has been an offensive bright spot for the Pronghorns, leading the team with four goals and three assists in eight games. She is tied for ninth place in goals and tied for fifth in total points in the conference.

The Cougars (0-4-5) are also looking for their first win of the season but have mixed ties and losses thus far. Playing three games in three days last weekend due to a weather-interrupted game from August 27th, the Cougars pick up two ties and a 1-0 loss to the Manitoba Bisons.

Taylor Bubnick leads the Cougar in scoring with three goals this season.

For the Huskies (4-2-3), the home stretch is about securing a post season spot. Currently, Saskatchewan sits in second place, three points behind the defending U SPORT Champion MacEwan Griffins for top spot in the Prairie Division. However, hot on their heels are both the Mount Royal Cougars and Alberta Pandas, sitting only two points behind the Huskies.

The duo of Alyssa D'Agnoe and Payton Izsak lead the Huskies attack. D'Agnoe leads the team with six goals, while Payton Izsak has chipped in with four goals.
