POST GAME
LETHBRIDGE – The Pronghorns delivered the first blow in their game against the top ranked UBC Thunderbirds, Sunday afternoon at the University of Lethbridge Community Stadium.  Kai Sakaguchi would open the scoring by driving one past Thunderbirds keeper, Bennett McKay. The opposition returned fire in the second half of play as Luke Norman made it 1-1 for the defending Canada West champions. The  Horns would regain the lead in stoppage time as Karim Bey scored on a penalty kick, before the Thunderbirds would equalize a minute later to earn the singular point.

BREAKDOWN

• The Lethbridge Pronghorns scored first against the number one ranked, UBC Thunderbirds, as Will Hughes found Kai Sakaguchi to make it 1-0 for Horns. The goal by Sakaguchi was only the Birds' third goal allowed this season.
• A chance to tie it up for the Thunderbirds came at the end of the first half but UBC forward Bradley Richardson missed wide on Horns goalkeeper Armaan Thawer.
• In the second half of the game, the Thunderbirds earned another opportunity to tie the game, but the USports goals leader Sebastian Dzikowski was called offside for the Birds. Dzikowski leads the nation with 12 goals this season.
• In the 65^th minute of the game, the Thunderbirds made it 1-1, as Luke Norman scored his third of the season assisted by Markus Kaiser.
• The Pronghorns pushed to get the go ahead goal down the stretch, but late chances by Tyrell Cook and David Musk couldn't find the back of the Thunderbirds' net.
• Karim Bey capitalized on a penalty kick in stoppage time of the second half, drilling one past Bennet McKay to give the home team a brief lead. It was all for naught as the Thunderbirds quickly found the equalizer with Tomas Pena making it 2-2.
