Pronghorns battle back for 21-12 victory over Dinos

CALGARY – The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns rallied with a dominant second-half performance to defeat the University of Calgary Dinos 21-12 on Saturday at McMahon Stadium.

After trailing 5-0 at halftime, the Pronghorns came out firing in the second half, scoring three tries in an 18-minute span to take control of the game.

Lethbridge got on the board in the 47th minute when Sydney Wollbaum crossed the try line, with Jayda Morrison adding the conversion to give the Pronghorns a 7-5 lead.

Just seven minutes later, Millie Teskey found the try zone for Lethbridge's second score of the afternoon. Morrison converted again, extending the Pronghorns' advantage to 14-5.

Calgary responded in the 62nd minute with a converted try to bring the Dinos within two at 14-12, but Lethbridge quickly answered.

Three minutes later, Emily Stewart scored the Pronghorns' third try of the second half, while Morrison added her third conversion of the afternoon to push the lead to 21-12.

The Pronghorns' defence held firm through the final minutes, securing the 21-12 victory and closing out a strong second-half comeback on the road.
