Female Athlete of the Week:
 
Kayla Moleschi – Women’s Rugby
First-year dynamo Kayla Moleschi continued her torrid pace during her rookie season, scoring four tries in two games this past weekend at the Canada West Championships in Calgary.
 
During Friday’s semi-final win over the Victoria Vikes, Moleschi scored two tries to lead the way in a 31-14 win.
 
Kayla set the tone early Sunday afternoon in the Championship game, scoring a try just 45 seconds into the match. She scored her second try early in the second half of the ‘Horns 41-0 win over the Alberta Pandas to claim the team’s sixth consecutive Canada West Championship.
 
Moleschi was also named the Canada West rookie of the year and a Canada West all-star. She was also named the Canada West female athlete of the week.
