Female Athlete of the Week:
Kerri-Ann Cowan – Women’s Swim
Second-year swimmer Kerri-Ann Cowan had a strong performance at the Canada West championships this past weekend in Calgary, qualifying for two ‘A’ finals and qualifying for the CIS Championships.
Cowan, a native of Calgary, just missed out on her first ever Canada West medal finishing fourth in the 50 metre backstroke event Friday night. She also finished 5th in the 100 metre backstroke.
As a member of the ‘Horns women relay teams, Cowan help the team to a fourth place finish in the 400 metre freestyle relay and a sixth place finish in the 400 metre medley relay, swimming the backstroke leg.
