Female Athlete of the Week:
Myriah Marino – Women’s Soccer
 
During the opening weekend of the Canada West women’s soccer conference schedule, second-year goalkeeper Myriah Marino kicked off the season with two excellent performances, combining for 17 saves in the ‘Horns two road games.
 
Saturday afternoon, Marino turned in an eight save performance in the ‘Horns 3-1 loss to the Mount Royal Cougars. The next day Marino was back on top of her game, holding the defending Canada West Champion Alberta Pandas to a scoreless draw, stopping all nine Panda shots she faced.
 
Her 17 saves thus far leads the conference and a 0.850 save percentage sits sixth in the Canada West.
