Female Athlete of the Week:
Katlyn Olsen – Women’s Basketball
First-year Pronghorn Katlyn Olsen led the way this past weekend as the ‘Horns swept their home opening series over UBC-O and Thompson Rivers. Olsen combined for 35 points in the two games.
Friday night, Olsen hit on 7 of her 11 shots, including an impressive 6-for-9 from behind the arc, and led all scorers with 25 points.
In the weekend finale, Olsen led all ‘Horns scorers with 15 points on 5 of 11 shooting and registered 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Red Deer College transfer is averaging just over 11 points in her first four games in a ‘Horns uniform and leads the conference in three pointers made with 13.
