Lethbridge, AB - The Pronghorn Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 29, 2012. 

Male Athlete of the Week:
Dominyc Coward – Men’s Basketball

Lethbridge forward Dominyc Coward was truly dominant in the Pronghorns weekend sweep over the Manitoba Bisons, in a series that had huge playoff implications. In the two wins that surged the ‘Horns past the Bisons for third place in the Prairie Division, Coward combined for 40 points and 28 rebounds.
 
On Friday, the Airdrie product led the ‘Horns to a 103-89 victory with 21 points, on 9-of-16 shooting, and grabbed a CIS career high 16 rebounds. Then on Saturday night, Coward led all scorers with 19 points in the ‘Horns 95-87 come-from-behind victory. With another 12 rebounds, Coward recorded his eighth double-double of the season. He also recorded five assists, three blocks and three steals in the ‘Horns ninth win of the season.
 
The 6-foot-6 forward moved up to 14th on the Canada West scoring list, averaging 15.4 points, and is now fifth in rebounding with 9.8 boards per game.
