Box Score Winnipeg - The University of Winnipeg Wesmen and the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns wrapped up a weekend series battling to a 0-0 draw Saturday night in Winnipeg.

Winnipeg (1-2-1) posted a 4-0 shutout victory over the Pronghorns (0-1-1) in the opening match on Friday.

The visiting Pronghorns held a wide margin in total shots in the opening half. Lethbridge had 12 total shots compared to only four for the hometown Wesmen. Despite the wide margin, the Pronghorns could only manage three shots on Wesmen goalkeeper Joshua Partaker. Winnipeg could only muster up one quality shot on Pronghorns goalkeeper Tyler Boast.

After the halftime break, both teams continued to battle looking for that important first goal. The teams were cautious in the defensive zone for the opening 40 minutes but both teams played with urgency in the final five minutes of regulation time.

Both teams had chances to score but Partaker and Boast were able to come up with key saves to keep the score 0-0.

Partaker made nine saves in the net for the Wesmen while Boast made four saves for the Pronghorns.

Winnipeg will travel to Calgary to take on the Dinos next Saturday and Sunday. Lethbridge will open up their home schedule next weekend against MacEwan.
