Female Athlete of the Week:
Kayla Gallagher – Women’s Track

In her first meet of the season, 2013 CIS Champion Kayla Gallagher opened the year with a strong performance at the Golden Bear Invitational in Edmonton.

The Truro, Nova Scotia native’s furthest throw of 17.95 metres was good enough for the silver medal in the weight throw and is also ranked second in the CIS.

‘Horns track and field continues their preparations for the Canada West championships with their next competition being in Winnipeg January 31^st – February 1^st.
