Female Athlete of the Week:

Jessica Bachynski – Women’s Basketball

 

Third-year combo guard/forward Jessica Bachynski has had a strong first semester with the Pronghorns and combined to record 20 points, 22 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in the Pronghorns final games of the opening semester this past weekend in Langley versus the Trinity Western Spartans.

 

The former NCAA Div. 1 player from Utah Valley University, recorded her second double-double of the season Friday night in the ‘Horns 74-64 loss to the Spartans. The 6’0 Calgary product scored 14 points on 5-10 shooting and grabbed 14 rebounds to go along with one assist and three blocks.

 

The next night she picked up six points, eight rebounds, four assists and one block in a 70-56 loss.

 

On the season, Bachynski is averaging 5.3 points per game but leads Canada West in total rebounds with 89 and is second in blocks with 13.
