Male Athlete of the Week:
Nico Pasquotti – Men’s Soccer

After transferring across the river from Lethbridge College, the reigning Canadian College Athletic Association (CCAA) Male Soccer Player of the Year Nico Pasquotti has made an immediate impact with the Pronghorn men’s soccer program.

During the ‘Horns home opening weekend Pasquotti was a dynamic force in the ‘Horns attack in both games. Friday afternoon, the management student recorded one assist, was credited with two shots and his darting run led to the ‘Horns being awarded a penalty kick in a 3-2 loss to the CIS fourth ranked Alberta Golden Bears.

Sunday afternoon, Pasquotti scored his first CIS goal in the Pronghorns 2-0 win over the MacEwan Griffins. He was also credited with three shots on goal.

In five games this season, Pasquotti has registered one goal and three assists. He is tied for second in Canada West in assists.

Pronghorn men head out on the road this weekend, travelling to face the Thompson Rivers WolfPack and UBC-O Heat.
