Female Athlete of the Week:
Kim Shellenberg – Women’s Soccer
First-year Pronghorn and former Lethbridge Kodiak, Kim Shellenberg made an immediate impact on the ‘Horns defensive line and was the most consistent ‘Horn this past weekend.
Shellenberg was a key component in the ‘Horns shutting down the Mount Royal Cougars attack Saturday afternoon, leading to the ‘Horns earning their first victory of the season, 1-0.
In Sunday’s loss to the Alberta Pandas, Shellenberg was once again a bright spot, consistently make aggressive plays defensively and also had the best chance offensively for the ‘Horns. Her shot from a set piece was narrowly deflected over the crossbar by the Pandas goaltender.
